Leopards and Murderers...

My kids ages are 10 and 7 years old.  Their age difference is usually not that noticeable.  It is times like these (Halloween) that you can actually tell they are 3+ years apart!  Gian wanted to dress up as a scary character.  His options were Chucky (yuck!) or the now classic Scream murderer.  Anna, for a change, was happy to dress up as anything Mommy picked for her!  So there goes Mom and picks the Leopard costume...Anna loved it, especially since we did a few 'adjustments' to it, such as adding the big poofy skirt, leopard socks, full leotard, etc...

Since Mom wasn't feeling well last night, Dad had 'trick or treating' duty with the kids.  According to my husband, Gian (my son) had trouble seeing through his mask, he dropped his candy bag, didn't see the cars on the street (parked or moving!)...In other words, he didn't make a great Scream murderer...ha,ha!  On the other hand, Anna had a blast and for the first time she was able to complete the entire trick or treating route!  As I was cleaning her leopard makeup from her cute little face, suddenly it hit me! Maybe next year she'll ask for a scary costume instead of a cute one! (No!!!!)

At the end of the evening, everybody asked Mom for something different for next year's Halloween night.  Gian asked if he could maybe go trick or treating by himself with his friends, my husband asked me not to buy costumes with masks ever again, and finally, Anna asked if next year she could be a...puppy!!!  Yay!!!!  A least I have one more year of cute before she asks to dress as the bride of Frankestein!!!
